Safety Officer

Role Description

This role requires knowledge and familiarity with the relevant safety regulations and keeping abreast of changes in addition to the following specific responsibilities:

1. Two all-day inspection tours of the School.
2. Fire drill.
3. Attend relevant committee meetings (internal or external).
4. Respond to any day to day problems.
5. Disseminate information from Health, Safety and Environment Office.
6. Organise: electrical safety, VDU safety, safe carrying of loads etc., COSSH, student laboratory safety, workshop safety, etc.
