I am a former Research Fellow in Physics (a.k.a. Post-Doctoral Research Assistant), having worked with Professor R. (Bob) Jones in the Theoretical Semiconductor Physics Group at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. I'm currently working as a Research Scientist for NXP Semiconductors in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
My Ph.D. and Post-Doc. studies involved running calculations to determine the geometry and electronic properties of diamond surfaces and defects in and on diamond on the atomic scale. In particular, I worked on the transfer doping problem. I used ab-initio, density-functional theory, as embodied in the AIMpro computer code. My Ph.D. thesis is available online.
Before my Ph.D., I completed an M.Phys. (combined Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics) in Exeter.
