CARS Image of 100nm Polystyrene Beads

Epi- (left) and Forwards- (right) CARS images of 100nm polystyrene beads spin coated on a coverslip. ω_p - ω_s = 2845 cm^-1, CH₂ stretching. Figure clearly demonstrates the efficient rejection of the non-resonant background from the glass coverslip and the significant increase in sensitivity of Epi-detected CARS microscopy.
